People change. Change is not always permanent, nor is it temporary. Change is, however, necessary for our growth and development. We change every day.
Sometimes this change can sneak up on us, causing confusion or strange emotions. Other times it is a change we, ourselves, enforce. An example of an unintentional change could be a newly acquired attitude or look on life. This could result in a drastic change, such as intentionally pushing away someone you love. Neither scenario is right or wrong, but neither has to be permanent. As soon as someone understands and corrects their strange mood and behavior, they could always welcome their loved one back with open arms. That is, of course, if their loved one is willing to return. That change will be their decision.
I have been this way myself. I have had changes in my personality that I did not exactly understand, expect or want. I dealt with them as best I could. I did push people away, but I never entirely closed any doors to them or completely shut them out. I grew from this change and made my best effort to restore myself to my once cheerful state. This is still a process and I am willing to work on for as long as deems necessary.
The person I have decided to spend my forever with, as a result of my changes, has encountered his own series of confusion and unwanted changes and realizations. He, in turn, has decided to end our relationship and forget all of our happiness to dwell on our few short comings. I cannot change his mind. I do wish he would allow me to hold him through this difficult time, instead of abandoning me. I want to help him along his journey in an effort to restore his happiness. I want to help him succeed in his life plans and admire his achievements with him. I want nothing more than to be allowed to love him, openly and unconditionally, being loved in return.
All of these things seem worth the time and effort to me. He is my love, my life, my past and hopefully my future.
Please send any good vibes his way, or prayers if you worship a god. He could use all of the good juju in order to find his way back. I see this as nothing short if an opportunity for us to grow and develop an even stronger relationship.

This has been the longest week of my life! This weekend will be even longer.

Happy Thanksgiving!
My birthday is Black Friday. Sadly, I have to work, though thankfully I have a fantastic job. We are celebrating all weekend (starting today)!
The most important change in my life, other than the job, is that I am with the most wonderful, sincere, loving and perfect man in the world! I have finally found true love and nothing has ever felt so perfect. We have been together a few months now and I am thrilled to say he will be in my life forever.
