I'm terrible at updating a blog. My sincere apologies to any friends on here that I have pretty much completely lost contact with. I will be making a concerted effort to update this from now on.
5 skills that I now possess that I didn't have when I last updated.
1. Telephone manner - I used to be ok on the phone, but I would avoid talking to people whenever I could. Now I routinely hold long calls with my clients, keeping them updated on their accounts progress.
2. Public speaking - This one I worked pretty hard on in 2010 but it was only when I had to present to the board of a big company that I really found my confidence. It would be nice if I could learn stuff without being thrown in the deep end.
3. Regular working hours - I hate my job but I have grown accustomed to being awake when the fiery eye is in the sky.
4. Bullshitting - Technically this was a hobby for me before, now I can pretty much bullshit my way out of/into most situations. Fear not, I only use this power for good.
5. Finding solutions - I've learnt that sometimes it can be very easy to just sit down and work out how something can happen rather than sitting around and complaining about it.
That's it.
