Had a pretty cool weekend.
Wanna read about it?
Well, okay then.
It kind of started Thursday night.
I went to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel live to watch Queens of the Stone Age perform with a few friends.
But, we waited around (drinking beer) so long for them to come on, that I ended up getting a little too hammered.
Plus, my friend locked his keys in his car, so, we ended up leaving before they played and grubbing bar food over at the Lucky Strike bowling alley. (Thanks Anyssa!)
Friday night went to Bar 107 to hang out with friends old and new and to listen my buddy Kevin spin pretty French Pop singles.
If you live in the L.A. area, you really should check this bar out. It's pretty cool.
Saturday, I hung out with my brother all day and then later, had dinner and caught a movie with my wife.
We went and saw "A History of Violence" the new David Cronenberg movie. It sucked so bad, it pains me to even think about it.
Sunday, we went to the West Hollywood Book Fair.
That was totally fun. We saw so many interesting people just walking around it was kind of neat. It was a vertible who's who of the counter culture and/or people I respect intellectually and/or artistically.
People like Mike Watt, Raymond Pettibon, Janeane Garofalo, Bill Maher and Richard Hell.
Robbie Conal even signed the book I bought chronicling his guerilla poster art.
So yeah, that was cool.
And then later that night, we went to the premiere of our friend MJ's movie, "Freeze Out" which was part of the Westwood Film Festival. It was really fucking good, I was totally impressed.
Keep an eye out for that one.
We leave Wednesday for tour. We'll be on the road for the rest of October.
Then, we're back home for a few weeks, then, we're back out until the end of December.
It'll be fun, but, I'm going to miss my wife terribly.
It's a dirty job...
The Blows met with a costume designer named Ben last night.
