"Nothin' Says Freedom Like Tits N' Ass..." : The 39 Week 28 Round Up/Update [T39W28RU/U]
I'm thinkin' I may have t'give up on the weekly anwering of questions, since I've gotten none since the first... four? Anyone, ANYone?! (...Bueller?)
Some random work conversations this week led to lotteries and what a million would mean to a person... for me, it's relatively simple.
a million $ would be 40 thousand $ for 25yrs - which would be just over 100$ a day spendable for 25yrs (not counting interest, etc., of course).
that's just ONE million and it'd be already more than I've ever made a year... for 25 years! niiiiiice, however unlikely.
( for the math conscious amongst you, here goes :
1 million (1,000,000) - divided to 25yrs
40 thousand (40,000) - divided to 365days
~109.59 a day, spendable $$ )
one thing I've always been intrigued with is when I hear a kick-ass tune from a film and it ends up being a "one-shot" song...
where either the band dissolved, only existed for that one song, or was strictly a "local"/little-known band that never released an album.
to make things more annoying/the music even harder to find is that a soundtrack was never released, or only in a limited basis or local release
an example of this is "Greet The Teacher" (from Return To Horror High) by Pleasant Company... the only way the song is available is from the scene it's in, including sound effects and dialogue from the scene.
an alternate example would be "TnA" (from The Comebacks) by White Beaver... which is actually Christopher Lennertz & Steve Frangadakis (whom you used to be able to get the song from his website *grins*).
nonetheless, there are a score of great songs out there that are impossible to find, no matter how hard you look, in any fashion other than ripped directly from the film *sighs*.
