I watched the SG episode of CSI:NY and laughed my head off. Sheer, self-depricating/lampooning hilarity. Nixon, Amina and Al were fucking RAD. As was par for the course for CSI, the murderer had the dumbest motive in the history of time...worst murder mystery ever. However, the SGs totally stole the show and turned it into a farce of epic proportions. Awesome.

Of course, I was watching it with my republican mother, which was beyond awkward. She was made almost physically ill by the sight of the SGs, and my efforts to explain SG to her didn't get past her Rush Limbaugh brainwashing. I could practically see the Blue Screen of Death written all over her face: DOES NOT COMPUTE! ERROR ERROR ERROR.

I've just re-realized how different I am, how different my generation is. My only hope is that we embrace that difference, instead of shunning it or running from it.
