most humbling moment: Finally realizing that I don't know anything for sure and I shouldn't pretend to.

crush: I hate that word. It's just silly.

makes me happy: Jazz bars, rivers, oceans, nighttime, smart old people, manual typewriters, moleskin notebooks, early morning bloody marys with too much hot sauce, proud but enlightened quintessential backwoods southerners, west texas, Austin Texas, New Orleans, Savannah Georgia, cobble stone streets, classic rock n' roll, big old conversion vans with curtains, hand-rolled cigarettes and leather items like leather bound flasks, cigarette cases, canvas bags, shoes and suitcases.

gets me hot: Any good looking fox that can down a shot of tequila, chase it with tobacco and hold a conversation about world religions simultaneously. Basically -- gasp -- brain juice.

into: People that are really just up for anything when the time is right for spontiniety -- traveling somewhere weird, drinking, buying drugs, weird sex in weird places, no sleep...etc. And, when the time is right, people that like to sit around and enjoy peace and quiet while indulging in useful hobbies like chess or painting or writing or reading. And, of course, people that know when the right time for things are.

makes me sad: Most college kids, people that don't know important things like elementary music or art history or how many amendments are in the Constitution and other equally quintessential things, people that don't "get" movies that are just obviously amazing and easy to 'get'. Basically -- idiots. Poor idiots.

heroes: Bukowski, Ginsberg, Hunter Thompson, kerouac, Jack London, Hemmingway, Van Gogh, Matisse, Tarrintino, Coen Brothers, Wachowski Brothers, Robert Rodrigaz, Nat King Cole and other folks I like to read and hear about.
