A Proportionate Response
It may seem odd that the badassed "Palestinian Resistance" are crying like hysterical little girls over Israels response to their missile barrage, but remember who this grievance theatre is playing to. Across the world there are journalists eager to slam Israel.
It doesn't matter that any civilised nation would have responded in exactly the same way (if not in a more extreme manner) to bands of armed culties showering their territory with missiles? How would America have responded? Don't ask anyone who's still pissed off about the military response at Ruby Ridge & Waco.
It doesn't matter that Israel has been warning the Palestinians and the entire world for days about this strike and that Hamas could have stopped it at any time by pulling the plug on the missiles.
No - seemingly - Israel has no right to defend itself. If it does the press scream "massacre".
The favourite word of Israel-bashers is "disproportionate". Perhaps they expect Israel to respond with Custard Pies. Has any war ever been waged sensitively? Are Hamas holding back? Fuck no. Hamas play with fire they get their fingers burned (and then moan about their burned fingers, to the press who moan about Israel's excessive use of finger burning technology).
But fine. As you know, I like to come up with solutions, so here is Uptight's patented proportionate response strategy.
Israel should erect fully stocked rocket barrages all around Gaza. They should be linked to the early warning systems that detect Hamas missile attacks and should automatically fire one randomly targeted missile into Gaza for every randomly targeted Hamas missile aimed at Israel.
That response is directly, incontrovertibly linked "proportionately" to any attack.
It also means the moral choices are fully down to Hamas. If they attack Israel they get the same back. If they don't attack Israel, they get peace. As it's a reactive system, it's entirely down to the Palestinians.
In reality it is anyway, but if the process was automated and matched the Palestinians numerically and morally, then not even the most season antisemite in the media would be able to form a case against Israel.
