Just finished reading "Just Kids" by Patti Smith. I know it has been out a couple of years (it won a National Book Award and a Pulitzer) but just recently got around to picking it up. What an amazing life she has led. The book focuses on her relationship with Robert Mapplethorpe during the 60's and 70's in NYC. The people she ran with is like a who's who of music, art, and poetry (Warhol, Sam Shepard, Alan Ginsberg, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, William Burroughs, Lou Reed, JIm Carroll, etc). I highly recommend it!!
