Thunder storm started halfway into my run last night. Whole sky lit up, thunder rolling for a whole minute. Was amazing, and between the light show and the rain (love running in the rain), what was gonna be a quick 20 minute run lasted an hour.

I think I'm really started to like it here. Or at least Ohio's springtime weather.

So....I just had my first swimming lesson today. It was a lil bit humiliating/funny (being the 23 year old getting taught in the lane next to the mutant dolphin swim team kiddo's) but I had a shit load of fun. I really love being in the water, love the way it feels, and I don't have a phobia about it, I just never took the time to actually learn. Getting tossed off the boat as a kid and learning to tread water/doggy paddle back to said boat is about as far as I ever got growing up. In middle school/high school a bit I was chubby, didn't like being shirtless in public. Silly. By the time I joined the military, swimming just wasn't something I did, so there you go.

Glad I signed up for classes. I still look re re in the pool, but started to get the hang of it toward the end. 3 more lessons to go.

I'm really enjoying crossing Stuff I Haven't Done off my list. Owning my own dog and learning to play an instrument are next. W00t.

Well, the snowstorm has arrived. Plus side? It's beautiful out, the quiet, serene fluffy awesome that I love. Con? Can't make it in to the gym, the pool, or the pool tables.

No workout is making me antsy, too antsy to read, so I'm passing the day playing weboggle, watching reruns of 30 Rock, and cleaning neurotically. At this rate, I might get bored enough to try getting my tax return through again...naaaaah.

Five weeks into starting up new in Columbus, and I'm just now starting to feel settled in. Last box is unpacked (procrastinator extraordinaire), and for the first time in WAY too long, I have my own internets. Lot of big changes, and even more adjustments still to make. Getting back from deployment, separating the Air Force, and now going back to college in a new state/town...I'm loving it. Change is good.

Biggest part of adjusting is catching my breath enough start piecing together a routine, a social life, getting back online/Out There, and figuring out what I'm going to do with the MASSIVE amounts of free time I'm finding myself with. Going from the military to student life- it's something else. Happier. Still, next step now that I'm all moved in- get a job, start new hobbies, get out and meet people. Boredom kills.

Originalthought intro'd me to this site back just before I left...she knows me waaay too well. Can't think of much that I'm a bigger fan of than lovely naked women with attitude. Bit more than that, beauty for its own sake, bare and bold. Either way, it makes me grin. So does seeing there's a community out there that agrees with me.
