This morning I flooded every group that I thought would be remotely interested in my new podcast with a thread pleading for people to tune in. I realize I was spamming the SG boards, and I realize that many people would call it bad form, but I want it to be known that it was a labor of love. I want to get the news out to as many people as possible as quickly as possible, and I thought there would be no quicker way than to use these boards. I know there are a lot of smart and edgy people on this website, and I wanted to get to as many of them as possible.

For what it's worth, I apologize to the administrators and to those who had to read the same rehashed spiel over and over. That being said, I still hope that those who saw the pitch will click on the link and listen in.

As it is, I'm sure there won't be many people who see this post, which is exactly why I resorted to spamming in the first place. However, it was the first and last time, and think that I got my message across effectively enough.

Please tune in. And if you like it, give us some feedback.

I'm so crushing. And it's not even fair. Because it's not just one person. And they're either two years older or two years younger than me.

But they're both tree huggers.

Why can't I just find the happy average of the two?

Current events:

School's out, and it looks like it'll be back to the lab again starting this weekend (I'm going in tomorrow to see about getting my old job back). Most everything's the same, save for being in Fort Worth instead of Richardson. I feel like I'm more removed than ever from this place, that is, I feel like I'm not back home so much as away from it. It's not a negative feeling, necessarily, just a unique one.

I bought lots of books the other day. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I,Robot, Good Omens, and Darwin's Black Box. I also bought another copy of The Skystone. I'm curious as to how long it'll be before I give away this one. Half-Price Books is a beautiful establishment.

Hopefully I can hang out with Funky Town friends this weekend. I'm thinking I might catch a flick on Sunday, coffee with a friend on Saturday. Tentative plans are better than no plans at all. I just hope I'm not thrown into an overwhelming work schedule. It would be my luck to be foiled by a full weekend shift.

Ahab is cold and lonely. I'm actually considering busting him out sometime this break. Who's game?

Time for another SG blog post.

So apart from school, my recent life has consisted primarily of YouTube videos of Jonathan Coulton, playing WoW, trying to convince people that Intelligent Design isn't science, and hunting down the latest episodes of Avatar. I know it all sounds like fun and games, but I really can't wait for the semester to end. I'm glad that I have some time off now (until Monday), but I won't be satisfied until December 3rd when I finish up the last of my classes.

Sadly, it looks like as soon as I'm finished with class, I'll probably be put immediately back to work, slaving for Wal Mart again. I suppose I should be glad to have some kind of potential income over the break, but not surprisingly, the prospect of moving from school to work just doesn't thrill me.

I'm sure it'll all work out. The winter break will fly by once it comes, and before I know it, I'll be back at the grindstone, trying to pick up the slack from this semester and getting ready to make decisions for the summer. For right now, I'd rather just rest easy knowing that a bountiful feast with beloved family is only a few hours away.

So...Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Will someone please read Jack Whyte's Camulod Chronicles so that I can actually discuss the books in depth with another living, breathing person? I swear, these books are entirely too good to be enjoyed so privately...

What amazes me is that I've purchased about 5 copies of the first book, given them all away, and I can still only name two people that I know to have read it (including the person who first recommended the series to me).

C'mon, guys. You can read nine books. It only took me about...four or five years....

Firstly, I would like to echo the Internet's unanimous claim that the Pope is actually Emperor Palpatine.

I haven't posted in months. I'm back in school. I can't sleep. I have class in the morning. My friend tells me I need to get more involved in this awesome SG community. I agree. I'm skeptical on whether or not I'll follow through. I hope I do. I'm speaking in very concise sentences. I have no idea why.

I saw the first episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Book 3. They're showing that shit online. Do you know how happy that makes me? Do you really? If you don't, then there's only one thing to do: watch all of the prior episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, crap your pants with elation, and then watch the first episode of book 3. Then crap yourself a second time, and go wash up because you're disgusting by now. You could also do this without the crapping, I'm sure. It's certainly more sanitary that way.

I've been playing way too much WoW, lately. But then again, i don't have much else to do. Other than school work. *cough*

My guess is that only one person's gonna be reading this, unless someone else on my friends list spots Avatar and makes a mad dash to comment. But in the case that it's just the one person, I have only this to say to them:
