I feel like we (the viewing public) need another sitcom co-developed by David Lynch. "On the Air" didn't get the network love it deserved. Nearly a decade afterward, "Arrested Development" proved that densely-layered, highly referential sitcoms will still only get "OK" ratings and meager patience from network VPs.
There are, of course, still brilliant sitcoms out there, brilliant rare and sometimes shy beasts they are. I just need my Lynch fix.
