So the kitchen is now officially under construction. Which means I'm spending the night in Brooklyn doing my laundry since my laundering facilities are inaccessible. What a romantic Friday night...haha.
I got a raise...yippee
I ditched my responsibilities last night and went out to dinner with Michael. It felt good to get away from the paint fumes for a night or so. I think the fumes and dust, etc. have damaged my singing voice
Not good. My bedroom is still quite the disaster area but it's alot better than it was. I have to conquer the closet next.
Not looking forward to it.
Have I mentioned I thoroughly enjoy doing lease returns? I get to move all sorts of cars about and get paid. Plus the car haulers are super-chill to hang out with. Definitely a good way to kill a couple of hours. I almost damaged two cars today though, I went to start one and it was stick shift, so I was like, "duh, Jamie, put the clutch down and then start it"...so I did...and whatever dumbass parked the thing before me forgot to put the emergency brake on...so I almost smashed the Focus ZX3 into the Explorer in front of it...but I found the e-brake in the nick of time. I need more stick shift lessons before I do that again anytime soon. I was proud of myself last week when I backed up one of the hooptys (a 95 escort, 239K miles, stick) and didn't hit anything...plus I only stalled once!
But I need a better teacher than "Driving Stick for Dummies".
So yahoo for the weekend, eh? Who else is going to knock back a few cold ones with us in New Brunswick tomorrow night? You know it'll be fun! OOH! And we can play beat up the hoopties sinceit's not too far from where I work!!! Who's in?
Have a good one, folks
