Interviewer: Welcome back. It's TMFKAM, isn't it, under those new nicks you've been using?
Thank you, and yes, I am the member formerly known as mikhaill. Lately TheExasperator, and now TheFuckOffKid.
Interviewer: You went anonymous recently for a while. What prompted this temporary departure?
Things went a bit psycho around here with a few people. I just figured I didn't need the psychodrama.
Interviewer: You were getting into fights on the boards?
Noooo. I mean, yes, occasionally. But bulletin boards on the internet are free-for-all spaces where stuff flies from all directions and you just have to hold your own. That's the nature of the beast, as is the fact you'll put a nose out of joint every now and again. Sometimes a shouting match ensues. But that's ok -- you learn the skill of knowing who to avoid. How much trouble is OK, how much is too much, that kind of thing.
The psychodramas, though, were of the completely unexpected out-of-the-blue what-the-fuck-was-that-about kind. Decidedly unpleasant, and I still don't know what brought them on. It's hard to explain how plain weird it got.
Interviewer: So what brought you back, given your sudden departure?
It's fun to play here. And some kind people urged me not to stay away. Having come back, I've been very warmly welcomed by friends here. It's been nice to come back and have people tell you they missed you.
Interviewer: What happened to "mikhaill"?
Well, that nick started to feel like a trouble magnet. Imagine feeling as if you're wearing a sandwich board that says "Emotionally unstable? Hey, take it out on me!" I decided to put the nick away for a little while and try out a few new ones.
Interviewer: They seem kind of more in-your-face and confrontational now.
TheExasperator? TheFuckOffKid? Yeah. It's fun. I'm probably imagining it, but it feels like people step back a little and give you some distance when you post with names like that.
I don't feel like I'm carrying any mikhaill-baggage around with me, which is nice.
Interviewer: What became of mikhaill's baggage then?
Meh. Some poor overworked hotel porter is lugging it around, no doubt.
Interviewer: Thanks for your time.
Thank you. Good to be back. Where's the party?

EDIT: Out of town for a few days at least. Play nice, you lot.

missedyou
when you were gone
i thought of you
wanted you to hold me too
it wasn't the same
when you weren't here
wish my lipstick could be smeared...
