Been doing a lot of travelling recently. Not too far, but travelling's travelling! I love to see new things and meet new people.
The few weeks ago I went a Youth Hostel in Wales by myself - the main objective being to proper chill out - no TV signal or mobile signal for 5 miles in any direction - proper remote! Another reason for going was to climb Cadair Idris - one of the biggest mountains in the UK - not sure on the stats, but seem to remember it being 900 metres above sea level or something like that. Everyone said I wouldn't make it to the summit, but I managed it - it was steeper than I thought though! Took 3 hrs to get up, and 2 hrs to get down. I was knackered for days afterwards though! Good achievement though, so I now need to find one higher - I'm thinking the Lake District next. Hmmmm....
A couple of weeks ago I went to the Nurburgring in Germany to thrash a car around for a week. What a cool way to release some agression and to O/D on adrenaline - yes - I'm a proper petrolhead. 13.5 miles of open track just to do one lap! Amazing is the only word to describe that place. I'm already planning next year's trip out there. Too many cocks with Porsches for my liking though. They should bomb that place one day, and they would wipe out most of the wankers in this world in one clean swoop.
Last weekend I went to a local VW show - Edition 38. What a weekend. The people I went with were the best ever - cheers guys. We ended up in a random tent with loads of Belgians at gone 4am still drinking (free) Vodka and beer. And of course - it was cool because I showed my little VW beast on a stand - it was looking good.
