Thanksgiving went well. I managed to hang out with my cousin Danielle, who's pretty cool, all day. Avoiding half the family may seem mean, but my idea of a holiday does not include being insulted and talked down to every 3 minutes.

My grandparents and stepfather are downstairs, and I am currently hiding from them up here on SG. The worst part is having to keep my sleeves pulled down, because they will freak the fuck out if they see my tattoos. At least the really cold weather gives me an excuse for not showing any skin. Speaking of which, I really want more. I would love to extend my 1/2 sleeve to a full, and find someone who can cover my left wrist with something cool. Now, all I need is a job and a new car, and it's game over for my arms.

My brother didn't buy his plane ticket for Thanksgiving. Looks like I won't be seeing him for a while. I'm worried about him, he's been having a lot of problems lately. The courts are being complete dickheads to him, his girlfriend is getting moodier the further the pregnancy goes, and he can't legally drive. So he's stuck, broke, and dealing with a crazy woman. Wow, that sounds almost exactly like me...

I'm hooked on smileys today . I don't know why.

To finish things off, here's Maxum, pissed at the world:

I just got another cat today. I got him for free from the vets' office, and got the vaccinations for free too. Someone was nice enough to drop off the whole litter before their eyes even opened. They named him Maxim, I don't know if I'll keep that, or change it. Guess it depends on if I come up with a better one.

My camera came! I got it on monday, and I've been busy playing with it and GH3 for the past couple of days. It's a Casio Exilim 10.1 mega pixel, and jet black. Badassery at it's best. No memory card yet, som I'm kind of limited on pics for right now. Christmas is coming though, so who knows? I put a few new pictures up, a lot more to come soon.

The job I'm waiting on doesn't start for a few more weeks. Looks like I'm getting unemployment for a while. Oh well. Now all I have to do is just sand trim. Yay. I hate renovations. Especially pointless ones. ugh. be back soon.

Ouch. I somehow managed to spend $200 on crap I really don't need.

Well, $150 of it was on video games, so that's ok. GUITAR HERO 3 ROCKS!!! And I got Manhunt 2 a day early. I haven't given it a try yet, but that'll be makin me late for work tomorrow.

Camera comes friday or so.

So it's been a couple of days since my last post, and I have to say I hate the NY State DMV. It's been almost a month since the paperwork for my license was supposed to be filed, and there's been no progress on it. I've taken the 1/2 hour drive to the DMV 4 times now, and each time I get the same lip service bullshit.

"I'm sorry Mr. Dawson, but it appears that the Albany DMV still hasn't filed the paperwork. You technically still have full driving privileges, so you could still drive if you like. If you would like me to, I could fax the paperwork to Albany to remind them that you're still waiting. Should I do that for you?"

It makes me want to say "No. I want to sit on my ass at home all day. It's fun not being able to get a job, or a loan, or a car, or cash my checks, or buy cigars, or apply for an apartment, or function at all. Dumbass."

But instead I smile and say yes please, thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate how nice you've been, that would be very helpful.

"Ok Mr. Dawson, we'll have that done for you so it's all ready nex time you come in. Thank you for coming in again, have a nice day! "

I'm never drinking and driving again. The hassle of going through the proccess of government has been more of a pain in the ass than the actual sentencing ever was.

On the up side, I have the day off from the bullshit construction job I've been forced to have. I'll have a new camera soon, so I'll have new pics up.

My head still hurts. We had the closing party at the Old Dock House last night, and I had way too many. Drinking a dozen pints of Yuengling has a way of catching up to you in a not so nice way the next morning. I did have a lot of fun, though. We finally got a chance to get all the employees from this summer together to make fun of all the stupid shit we did together. To make things better, I had to be up at 7am to burn a giant pile of wood and other debris in my back yard. Ouch.

I love the Dethklok album. It's almost as good as my live Rage Against the Machine cd.

And there is this ANNOYING FUCKING POP-UP THAT WONT LEAVE ME ALONE!!! I had the bright idea to check out an anti-spy program's website that I don't have, and now a bubble pops up from my toolbar every 30 seconds telling me to download the software, and it makes me want to shoot something.
