Hey everyone,

As you may know I am graduating this semester, that being the case I have to put together my Senior show. I have chosen to start a new body of work entitled "See My Heart" The idea being that I ask people from different backgrounds and walks of life to describe to me what their heart looks like. I will then take the description and turn it into a piece of art. The project will allow you to remain annonymous, I will not mention your name in the show even to say thank you if you choose.

I am enclosing the questions to answer in this message. Please feel free to be as detailed as possible. You can e-mail responces to me here at the site. As a participant I will make sure to send you pictures of the work, and if you are interested you would be given top priority on buying the piece (and at a discount). This project means a lot to me and I am hoping it will mean a lot to all of you as well.

If you could describe your heart, what would it look like?
Would it have certain colors?
Be a certain size, have textures, be hard or soft?
Are there any identifying features?
I your heart filled with anything?
How do you describe yourself as a person?

Ok, since my last post (my birthday post months ago) the following has happened

My checks started bouncing from the restaurant I was working at (Mexicasa)
I was down to making $20 in a dinner shift (why do you have 5 servers when there is NO business; teeny restaurant)
I went to a bar called Edna's and asked if they were hiring... by some miracle; they were.

I now work at Edna's Place; OKC's best Dive Bar (as voted by OKC residents) with the best signature drink (also voted by those same great people). I average about $160 a night.

I went to Florida to see my sister-in-law and nephews; and then we drove to NC to visit my grandparents.
On the way up I crashed into a guard rail going 70 mph on I-75. Totaled the car; but everyone is ok.

While in NC I managed to step on two rusty nails; one in each foot; had to go get a tetanus shot. I also broke my cell phone.

Got back to OKC and my laptop gave me the finger.

So I said screw you laptop, and purchased a 22" HD touch screen HP PC. All in the screen, no tower. And, in case you were worried about portability; I also purchased a new 10.2" netbook. I love them both; we are all very happy together.

So that's the where have I been update; of course there are minor other details, like I start school next week and I just got a commission for $1000. Sweet sauce I tell you.

The boy's 30th birthday is next week. I am planning him a surprise party. And I got him a Kitchen Aid mixer (which normally run $299; but I had a 20% off coupon for Bed Bath and Beyond.. which turns out are good for one per item.. but you can bring 50 of them in and use them on each purchase.. trust me I know... the lady in front of me in line did it) Anyway; I saved a lot of money and I didn't have to stress about paying for the present because a good Friday night will pay for it.

Anyway; I'm back in action... and addicted to the True Blood show as well as the books; AWESOME!

Hey guys, I know I have been gone awhile. I was having serious technology problems. I just got off work a little bit ago and have set up my delightful new computer; so things should be better. I'll give a total update on Monday.

So; today is my birthday; yea me. I am 26 and sort of in disbelief. I sometimes walk around my apartment and it dawns on me it is MY apartment and I am a grown up; weird! I just got home from my first gay club experience. It was decided that for my birthday I should go to a drag queen comedy show; so I did and it was awesome!! So fun.

So, I started a new job at a Mexican restaurant called Mexicasa. It is super yummy and I am a bartender/waitress.
Tonight in a bit of hilarity I had a group of four guys come in; mid twenties-ish. One of them decided I am more powerful then God; and him and his buddy both gave me their phone numbers. It was pretty funny. We also decided I am a secret ninja; because I am cute and innocent looking; but lethal.. hahaha

Yea I got my monroe re-done and I love it!!!
I got my friend Brandi's lower lip pierced for her for her birthday. Her mom is a crazy woman and giving her a hard time about it. THis is not her first piercing or tattoo!!! AHH She's 20 years old.

I'm dying my hair back to black. I miss it.

Only like 3 weeks left of school. Crazy!!


Some days you just need a hug

More sadness, I will not be going to Italy for the summer. There were some financial aid issues. BOO!! Oh well, I guess I will just buckle down and get some stuff made to get ready to apply for grad school. I am getting a list together; anyone have suggestions?

So, sadness, I did not get into the show in Ohio. But that means I have more work for our Spring show here. If you are in OKC and not busy Sunday from 2-5 you should come down to Oklahoma City University and check out the student show.
