As you may know I am graduating this semester, that being the case I have to put together my Senior show. I have chosen to start a new body of work entitled "See My Heart" The idea being that I ask people from different backgrounds and walks of life to describe to me what their heart looks like. I will then take the description and turn it into a piece of art. The project will allow you to remain annonymous, I will not mention your name in the show even to say thank you if you choose.
I am enclosing the questions to answer in this message. Please feel free to be as detailed as possible. You can e-mail responces to me here at the site. As a participant I will make sure to send you pictures of the work, and if you are interested you would be given top priority on buying the piece (and at a discount). This project means a lot to me and I am hoping it will mean a lot to all of you as well.
If you could describe your heart, what would it look like?
Would it have certain colors?
Be a certain size, have textures, be hard or soft?
Are there any identifying features?
I your heart filled with anything?
How do you describe yourself as a person?

My heart is scarred, horribly scarred, but big, maybe even hot to the touch. It would be free to move about on its own were it not weighed and shackled by it.s own choices. It feels rough, but not uncomfortably so, perhaps like a cat's tongue. It speaks loudly and unapolegetically, but not often, and never to people it does not know. It's colored a bloody red, with a silvery streaking to it, but the scarring makes it difficult to aprreciate, and perhaps would be brilliant again would the scarring not hamper it.
As i read this, I just read the date of your post, and I'm sorry I didn't put this sooner, for I fear I'm late, but I will not retract my description, do with as you will, and good luck with your project. But then, you are far too skilled to rely on luck
