June 27th will be my last day here! Friends, please see previous blog if you wanna keep in touch and don't already have one of my various internet guises on your preferred social media platform / tattooed on your left bum cheek.
Everyone else - hello, I must be going. Feel free to send thinly-veiled death threats and hopeful spam to my Twitter account.
Here is a picture of a parsnip to keep you entertained in my complete and final absence:

Seeing as this is rapidly becoming my baking blog, here is some baking.

Paris Brests filled with Baileys-flavoured cream for Mother's Day.

A monstrous experiment. Choux pastry is becoming my forte, so I decided to mess around with it. I made chocolate eclairs which I filled with home-made lemon curd and topped with orange-flavoured chocolate. Then I covered one in meringue and cooked it like a baked Alaska. I give you - THE BAKED ECLAIRSKA.
(it was delicious)

Despite protests from my legs, I've signed up to ride from London to Paris this September, to raise money and awareness for the 100% certified awesome Anthony Nolan Foundation charity, which helps match stem cell donors to people needing treatment for blood cancers.
If you'd like to throw a few quid my way (donations pay for the trip as well as going to the charity), please visit my JustGiving page.
Or if you're all technomalogical, you can text BWLP99 and your donation amount in pounds (e.g. BWLP99 £5) to 70070 (unsure if this works anywhere outside the UK)
May I just say, pre-emptively, "ow, my thighs", "aargh, a cramp" and "what the fuck, is this a fucking rash?"
