I don't know why but rock music seems lacking these days. Now, everyone that has been going and still is going are still kicking ass.
But a lot of the new bands coming out just sound the same. And don't get me started on the bands that claim to be rock music but are basically pop bands. Daughtry is an example, thought the song with Slash in was pretty good. Some bands have some good rock songs, and I'll listen to them.
It is my belief that there should be another mass group that comes out. Take the early 90's, you had Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, and, because they are AWESOME, Metallica's Black album. This was the best time to be a rock fan in my point of view. You were assaulted with a huge amount of rock music!
Now days you get small spurts of good music. An album here, a song there....
I don't have anything against any other genre, I can't say "I love music" without including songs I like from different areas. But ROCK is where I belong, rock is my heart. I WANT MORE!!! \m/
