I completely know what you mean about the American view of liberal. They think the Canadian version of liberal is radical. It makes me smile. It will indeed be odd living down there, and voting one day will be even stranger.
The current HTML viewer uses flash so you're kidding yourself, sunshine. The filmstrip down the side is impractical for browsing the set while the thumbnails in the new flash viewer are quite practical. Either way you'll be using flash, so your mission should be picking the most effective.
