I have never writen a Blog before but right now I have something that is bothering me.
The release of level 3 sex offenders. For those that don't know what the levels stand for I'll tell you.
Level 1 is low risk of reoffense often juvenile's with a single offense.
Level 2 is moderate risk of reoffense often based on more than one offense
Then there is Level 3 with a HIGH risk of reoffense usually with multiple crimes
In 2 years I have received 15 notices for level 3 sex offenders that have moved close enough for our house to get informed. In less than half a mile from where I live there are 2 elementary schools and a high school!
Am I the only one that says "WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING!?!"
As a father I say if even ONE of them hurts another person then the "Justice system" that releases these REPEAT offenders has not only let us down but FAILED utterly!
I have to ask how they get from saying they are HIGHLY likely to hurt some one again to letting them have access the the public?
One of the notices I have in front of me has 2 1st degree molestation, arson, assault and he even mutilated a cat and dog after there owner asked him to move out.
Another after raping a young boy he admited to 6 more victims and have failed to register 4 times!
Personaly I believe a facility should be built to PERMANENTLY house these people. If you are given a level 3 rating you should never again have access to a victim. Letting them out is ASKING for some one to be hurt.
