So there's this story Collin Quin tells in the Jerry Seinfeld movie Comedian:
The Glenn Miller band are flying to some show in the midwest, and because of the weather the plane cant land where it's supposed to. So the plane lands in some field a half mile or so from the venue and the band gets out of the plane, in their fancy nice suits and walks in the cold, with all their equiptment to the venue. They're freezing, exhausted, ruining their suits, and are walking across a field in a snowstorm.
As they walk to the show, they stumble upon a perfect little farmhouse and peek in the window. Inside is a beautiful family sitting in a dining room eating a big home cooked dinner. The fire roars in their fireplace, the kids are laughing and the place looks beautiful. As they stand out in the freezing cold looking in on the perfect Norman Rockwell scene, one of the band members turns to the other one and says, "How can people live like that? Yuck."
And they head off to their show.
What kind of life do you want? Rockwell or Warhol?
