I'm sorry you have had friends let you down in the past, chicks are such drama queens, eh. I know how you feel though, and I too feel privileged every time I meet someone special, and people that I actually click with for a change. I'm quite the hermit crab myself, and sometimes I just hang out with people for the sake of being social. And even though I feel proud of myself for actually socialising, I never usually have anything in common with them... I feel very comfortable and happy around you though.

Anyway, I noticed your post in the Design group, and thought i'd offer up my services. My portfolio is currently offline (I'm doing a re-design), but if you give me a day or two, I could my get an old one back up.
It depends on what exactly you are wanting! But generally I'm pretty cheap Basic websites I generally charge around $70au upwards. (Though, it can sometimes be cheaper depending on what exactly you need)
If you need me to organise a host & domain name etc, its a little more (To cover the costs of the registration and all that)
Seeing it's only a small site, I could host it on one of my sites for a small fee. (Probably around $5-$7) Otherwise it would be around $60au per year. As for domain name, depends on if you want a .com or .com.au name. I generally go with just a .com, and it's usually around $20. (.au are more expencive)
It also depends on what type of site you'd like it set up as. I'm probably going to confuse the hell out of you if you don't know anything about websites. But it depends on how you would want things run. If you would want to keep it updated, and have no clue of HTML, then I can put in some things that would make it easier. If you know how to edit html, I can just make a basic page that you can change and update. Or, I can just do everything, and any time you wanted it updated I could do it! (I currently don't work-work, most of my income comes from web design, so I have time to do this).
But yeah. So, heres an idea of what you'd look at price wise-
Hosted by me - .com name - No HTML knowledge - $100
Hosted by me - .com name - Basic HTML - $90
Hosted by me - .com name - Me updating it all for you. $150
(Add an extra $60 if you want to get it hosted elsewhere)
