The thing to keep in mind with groups, especially the private ones, is that they can have any rules that the group owner wants. This can include things like having to be a SG member for a certain period of time, having to have a blog entry so other group members can leave you comments, having certain parts of your profile filled in with specific information, being a specific gender, or having a specific status on the site. I have also seen groups that specifically require that you have friends of both genders, regardless of your gender or sexual orientation; and I have seen some that say if you are a Hopeful, you need to have more varied blog entries than just mentioning your set in MR and asking for comments, even though, as you say, photosets of naked girls do appear to be the main focus of the site.
While there is a lot of debate as to whether SG is mainly about art photos or softcore porn, there is a deeper aspect to whole SG community beyond the photos. There are a lot of groups that have absolutely nothing to do with the photos, the girls, or sex at all; and I think there are some groups that might specifically frown upon sexual discussions like "Cute Overload," where folks would most likely get very nervous or offended if someone tried to discuss sex on a thread about cute baby pictures, and they would likely get kicked out of the group, and possibly even zotted from the site.
I originally joined SG thinking that it would just be a cool place to post some artwork I had modeled for, and that it was an online community with whom I might have common goth/punk/emo/nerd/hippy/alternative background and interests with other members, and at first, the sexual aspect didn't even really register with me. But it has turned out to be so much more to me, and I have found that I have made some really cool friends of both genders, and I may have something different in common with each person, whether it is a SG I admire, a fellow Hopeful I want to encourage, someone else with dogs or a new kitten, another Blackberry user, other members with disabilities, someone who likes my photos or artwork, someome who finds me attractive, etc., etc.

Can I ask wich group it was? Than it could make sense. But to be honest, 59 girls collected in more than two years, that's not that much, so based on that it doesn't make sence.

Both of your comments are helpful and interesting. The group that I am referring to is sexual in nature. Its the voyeur and exhibitionist group. I was a member of SG for a while and made some friends and had some fun in the V & E chat room. Then, I cancelled my membership. when I rejoined SG, they had deleted me from the group and wouldn't let me back in. I'm not trying to be whiny. they can set whatever rules they want. It just brought up the point that I am not sure about the point of SG. I see your points Anastasia. I wouldn't want to talk about my or anyone else's naughty bits in the Cute Overload group. I definitely was not joining that group...although I might now that I know it exists (and I'll reserve the naughty bits talk for other groups).

I guess the whole website is still in a bit of a figuring-things-out mode which is cool. I think that's how a lot of things on the internet are working these days and its fun to be living in a day and age where we get to experience this technology driven renaissance. It just leaves room for confusion to spring up when things are a little undefined or the definitions which do exists are in flux. I'll keep trying to make friends with dudes so that I can get back in, I suppose.
