Florence has an abundance of city life with the atmosphere of a small town. There are many great restaurants and of course there are the sculptures of Michelangelo, which includes the famous sculpture of "David."
When you think of Ancient Italian villages, one place should come to mind and that is Siena. Brick buildings line the steep, stoned, and narrow streets of this town made for a couple wishing to escape into eachothers arms. Throughout the day and night, the town center is littered with people relaxing with a gelato in hand while they watch eachother without a care in the world. To fall in love or fall in love all over again, this is the place to go.
Rome has many fantastic sites to see, including the Collosseum and Vatican City. This city, in my taste, is a little to overcrowded and has too much going on. The streets are cramped with mopeds, people, and people trying to sell you the same fake watch or purse every five feet. I could have seen all the sites I wanted to see in one day and then left the noisy city behind.
All in all, I had a wonderful trip. I drank plenty of cappucinos, and ate my fare share of pizza, panini, and gelato. Due to a flight delay on the way back to the states I was able to spend one day in Wiesbaden, Germany. I encountered the nicest people, restaurants, and scenery I had experienced my whole trip. Germany is one place I will be returning to. Plus, I am mostly half Italian and half German, and I felt more at home in Germany then I did in Italy.
That's it! Check out some of the pictures I posted.
