Well... my orders to Washington have been deleted... now I'm going to Texas. Cant say I'm thrilled about being told I get to go to my dream assignment in WA for over a year to get told in the last months I'm going to TX instead. On a plus a few of my good friends are headen there to so I'm in good company and to boot I've already got a place to leave, although it is in a double wide trailor... goin to TX gotta go all the way right? My tour in Korea is almost over 70 somethin days left. One 2 week field eval and recovery and 1 readiness inspection and I'm on the golden ride home for a 30 day vacation! Started to order new parts for the bike so I can get her straight this summer so I'm good to go OCT 6 and 7 for THE HORSE SMOKEOUT WEST II in COTTONWOOD ARIZONA. I cant count how many birthdays and holidays I've missed for being over seas but I aint fuckin missing this rally! I think it's time I finally named my bike. I've always known she needed a name but I've spent to much time cursen her for leaking oil and not starting. After a year you realize how much you miss some one er something ah whatever she has a soul! Her name is Vanessa. Yeah after the SG I know cheesy but it feels like it fits right. I'll just call her that for now and sometime before NOV I gotta get a new fender on her and I'll have my bud pinstripe her name on the fender "gas tank is already crowded". Speaking of NOV thats when I'm going back to Iraq for my 3rd tour... but it will be my final, no more re enlisting after this. With my current scheadule I dont have to worry about being stop lossed pass my contract. So all is shitty but I see the light at the end of the tunnel and it's shinning on motor cycles, rum, smokes and boobs.
