"RxQueen and I met years ago backstage at an Iron Maiden concert; I was a fledgling staff photographer for Circus Magazine and she was head of security for the band... the things I had to do to get access still brings shudders in the wee dark hours of the early morning...

We met again some time later when I was investigating Bermuda Triangle phenomena. She was the first female captain of a US Army Special Forces unit trying to chase us off thinking our garishly colored ship was a Greenpeace vessel... after days of her imaginative "debriefing" techniques, she let me go (never did get my briefs back...).

I won't even go into that one terrible summer where I was homeless on the streets of San Francisco. My corner was outside a strip bar and all my "Will work for food" signs had been stolen. As an evil joke, some white supremacists had replaced all of the signs with "Will go down on you for food" signs without my knowledge. RxQueen was in town with the Navy SEALS for Fleet Week, saw my sign, and the next thing I knew it was weeks later and I was homeless yet again, but in Little Creek. I had very little recollection of the previous weeks and my toungue had her name tattooed on it...

Despite all of our very long and storied history across the world together (tip of the iceberg above, people...), she remains the most beautiful and talented New Yorker I know. I am very much looking forward to living in her bathtub once I move to New York and becoming her completely dedicated man-servant.

I am counting the hours until I see her again this summer in Tibet...
