Hmmm... well my account seems to be working again.

So, what's been happening while I've been away? Not much, it seems. Everything looks like it did last time I was here, something to the tune of two years ago. Right down to the self same discussion threads in the Groups. My, but things happen slowly round here.

One thing that does seem to have changed is the sheer quantity of Photoshopping applied to most sets. I thought the point of SG was to celebrate alternative and real beauty. You wouldn't know that looking at most of the main page photo sets I've seen in the last few days. Seriously, don't these people know when to stop? What the hell is so 'alternative' about plasticated barbie dolls, complete with plastic skin, plastic eyelashes, and plastic tits? Sure, remove a zit or two, and perhaps you might feel more comfortable with your stretch marks softened a bit, but what the hell is with the trend to make yourself look as though you've been given an undercoat of Dulux vinyl emulsion? Weird, and not at all sexy.
