Vespula sp., commonly referred to as yellowjackets. One of the genera that Carl von Linné deigned to consider in his prolific lifetime. Little flying, buzzing, stinging insects that, when outside in woodland and the verdant valleys of Eastern Ontario perform sterling service in controlling populations of pest species. However, when they are flying around your bedroom in large numbers they are somewhat more... distracting.

So, apart from the enormous local population of stinging beesties, how is the new apartment working out? Hmm... difficult to say what with all the boxes surrounding me, but those that we did manage to clear out of the way yesterday revealed that, perhaps, my fear that we'd rapidly run out of space to stow our belongings was premature. We'll see...

I don't feel like I know much right now. I just know I'm insanely happy.
