I just gave some $$$ to the Red Cross for the tsunami relief effort. Someone on the boards said to look for the International Response Fund at the Red Cross Website.

Go give them a couple of bucks. And if you think you can't afford it, just remember: what goes around, comes around. You'll get it back.

Happy Holidays:

London was okay, though ot be honest, it struck me as sort of a weaker version of NYC. That probably is not entirely fair, but I did see a fucking Starbucks on every goddamned corner. It was nice, to be sure, but when I travel I prefer more exotic locales.

Paris rules. I am giving some serious thought to taking up residence there for a month or so, try it on for size.

I am off to London tonight. 10 days there, with a 2 day jaunt to Paris on Wed-Thurs.

We will be staying with my GF's parents in their apt in Notting Hill, which I am told is a nice place.

Cheerio! And all that rot.

Lately, I have been fascinated by the thread in which people detail strange but funny sexual pratices. My GF is a little worried that I am now obsessed with "The Donkey Punch." Not so much in doing it, cause I'm not, but more in chasing it down, learning of its origins, figuring out how it fits into human sexuality. My GF says it's a myth, something 12 year old boys ( and stock traders ) tell one another to look macho. But I'm not so sure.

Does it exist? Or is it just another urban legend?

I wrote a detailed analysis in My Blog, which raises many important questions.

What do you think?

Last week, I went to the NYC Horror Film Fest, which was a pretty good time. Though I am completely horrored out at this point. I think I probably saw 25-30 movies in 4 days ( shorts and features ). But I did get to party the night away with Amanda Plummer and Tobe Hooper., Sat. night.

What else? My favorite holiday is this week. I am having a pumpkin carving party for about 10-12 friends, Fri night. Then Sunday is the annual Scaraoke. That's right, the ultimate blend of Scary and Karaoke. It's a tradition my friend Jongre has been putting on for 5 years now. Every time I've been, about 200 people have shown up. It's a big deal and a lot of fun.

In other news, My GF is moving to my hood. She lives on the Upper East Side now, which sucks ass for the commute. But her roommate is now attending Bklyn Law, so they are moving to the Heights.

Recent movie purchases:

2001
The Shining
Bride of Frankenstein
Jekyll & Hyde ( double feature, 1931 and 1941 )
Circus of Fear
Clash of the Titans
Beat the Devil ( John Huston movie with Bogart )

Movies this week:

"Back to the Future" Unfortunately, you can only buy them as a set now, and the only one even worth watching is #1. See My Blog Entry about Raiders. Much of the same applies to this trilogy.

Speaking of trilogies, yes, I did just buy the Star Wars boxed set. Yes, yes, I know, I know, but come on. Some things in life you just gotta do...

But last week was jam packed with work, so the buying spree slowed down a bit. We flew to North Carolina to meet with the client and demo this thing I've been working on. Demo went well, and VP of company thinks we are better than Jesus. Now on to phase II of the project.

Went to San Generro last week. Lots of bad food and nothing really to do. About the same as Mott street always is.

Also, I am getting tons of hits and good feedback on our

$100 movies. This is encouraging, as we are now plannig out the next venture. This one will cost more than the previous movies, so if you have $50-60K you don't need, send it my way.
