Well, I decided to take a Job in Maine. I'm super excited for the job since it was my old dream job that was rekindled. Basically I am a print technologist who gets to work with R&D, marketing, and product development. I guess my main purpose is testing and reporting the findings of new products to the people making them while testing competitors products to see where we stand. The job itself required about 60% travel which I'm sure will get tiring after a while. Yet, I do get to keep my frequent flier miles and hotel points.

In celebration of getting to put my two week notice in for my current job tomorrow, I decided to buy a new boarding coat and pants. Yes they match, so let me know if this is bad. Just happened that way and I actually bought the two things at different places. For the most part, the coat was the only coat I found out of 5 stores that would fit. I think next Saturday we're headed to play in some snow in PA.

Oh yeah, the best part is the coat came with a vest. What the hell???

I am so happy to see the end of my current job! Garnet I'm thankful to have one, but I cannot handle it anymore! Picking up the phone 30/40 times a day and listening to pissed off or clueless customers is far from fun. Although I really am going to miss DC. I was driving back from Cleveland Park this evening and cut though Georgetown and I became totally bummed. It's so beautiful down here and tons to do. Let's hope Maine is everything everyone says it is. I know it's going to be way different to down here, but I am sure it has it's own character. Anyhow, I can hit Boston in two hours when I'm needing a big city to pick me up.

Well, I'm moving and it's in the complete oppsite direction of where I want to be geographically. Hopefully the job will be worth it. I'll give it three years, if I'm not happy than it will be time to move again. I'll be 28 and that's still young enough to rock out somewhere else. I'm telling you, I'm going to be in CO in the distant but near future.

So fare well DC. I will miss your awesomeness and the amazing weather! Here's to Portland, cheers!

2008 is going to be great! I keep telling myself this, haha. Seriously though, the last three years I have said "this year has got to be better. It will be better." Well, I'm saying it again and really mean it this time, haha. So 2008, I welcome you with open arms. Farewell 2007, you will be a year for time to forget!

Lucky me. My roommate and his girl friend are both sick and I end up getting sick to. Ugh! Oh well, I picked up some Cold Snap and victims and have been rocking them out. Mmm, Cold Snap is awesome!

Wow, it's almost the new year! I hate this time of year. I hate the holidays and all the crap that comes with it. Call me Grinch, but the last three years have not been ideal, or even close to manageable. Like ever year, I'm deciding this new one is "the one" haha. Enough of that.

I'm pretty excited for the next few weeks. I have a few interviews and am looking forward to some change. The current money making job is just not cutting it and is causing me much anxiety. Change is good!

A positive is that I got my first running high since high school today. It was awesome!! I had stopped for a minute to stretch out and wait for the light to change and when I started again it felt like I had no legs and that I was floating through the air. I love running!

What's everyones plans for new years eve? I get to dress up in my tux (I'm a dork, I love dressing up).
NOVEMBER 24, 2007 @ 01:49 PM

I just got back from visiting my sister in Indiana for Thanksgiving. Other than eating about three days worth of food in a few hours, it was a good time. Was my first time visiting her and her husband since they moved there. Her husband went to culinary school for a bit, so he made most of the food and it rocked! Other than that, it was good to see my parents for a bit. The weather was ass cold and pissed me off when I was out running in 30 degree air and overcast skies. Can it be spring yet? I hate this "lets get dark at 4.30pm" crap.

Right now I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself on a Saturday night. I have to go run, but that only uses about two hours...

Anyone want to road trip it up the coast of California in a few months???
NOVEMBER 15, 2007 @ 06:40 PM

I made a list today about someone. While trying to think of 15 things that I miss about them, I discovered I only miss one: their smile. All the rest were things I missed about us. It's funny. But as the leaves fall, thoughts and feelings change and I wait for spring to bring new adventures, or winter for that matter, haha.

Anyhow, I decided to go back to the philosophy of doing one thing every three months that I have never done before. I have a list now and some awesome plans, but now it just needs to be warm out! But I started to plan a marathon for spring and setting up a training schedule. In the mean time, I'm working on singing up for a 10k on Thanksgiving, but I don't know if that will happen.

Other than that, life is life and I'm settling into my new job in Ashburn while adjusting to "the real world."
SEPTEMBER 16, 2007 @ 10:25 PM

Last night my buddies and I went to see DJ TIesto and Ferry Corsten at Love. Basically my night was, well, It's amazing we did not get arrested during the five hours we were out. Between me telling some dude I was going to kill him directly to his face (after he sips a beer I just bought for my buddy) and the public intoxication with the metro police telling my friends to get me home "right now" it was good. I woke up at 2pm with no recollection between then and when I closed out my tab.

Anyhow, I have some hardcore job searching/applying to do. Fun weekend but if I don't get some funds soon, I'll be broke.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2007 @ 11:52 AM

I am officially moved to DC!! And the best part, I still have no job! Oh well, lets just hope this job searching goes well. It's not like I do not have an education.

Anyhow, last night my buddy and I boozed it up and went down to Adams Morgan. Good deal other than the hour or so metro ride...

More to come, I'm sure. smile
