Oh where, oh where to begin?
I'll start with my driving catastrophe.
Going to Redondo Beach Pier last Night to meet Tiberius.
Go to park the car.
Have to get a ticket at one of those booths where you press a button and the arm lifts up to let you through.
Seems simple enough?
Well, it didn't work out that way.
My window is a bitch to roll down.
So I open the door to press the button and get my ticket.
I'm half in and half out of the car when it starts to roll away.
It smashes through the arm thingie and I'm chasing after it.
How do you forget to put your car in park?
The guy in the booth was very nice.
I asked if he needed me to pay for it and he said
all that mattered was that I was ok.
So shaken and late. I went forth to meet Tiberius.
We recognized each other right off.
He was nice and he didn't laugh that hard at me.
I needed coffee to settle my nerves. Because caffeine calms me whatever
So we began our quest for a cup of joe.
And quest we did, we had to jump over the fallen tree, stop off at the sharks head and the giant seahorse (it was just asking to be ridden) past the scene of the crime and finally a beacon of light called and it was Ruby's and all was well.
Ruby's has an awesome Brownie Sundae, just to let you know. And their coffee is quite good too.
Went back to the Fun Zone and searched for Rampage, the reason for our journey only to discover that I lied and there is no Rampage.
However they didi have the scariest fortune teller ever. Not a real one one you put a quarter into. Inside the box theres a manequin dressed in sparkley Star Treck garb and once you put the qurter in a projecter turns on and gives it a face. Like the crystal ball in the haunted mansion but scarier.
The other fortune teller, Estrella's Prophecies, was normal enough. Except for Tiberius' fortune that came out it said something like:
"You enjoy gay music and you tend to shout out in ecstacy when something excites you."
Wow. Just wow.
I won airhockey too many times.
We played air hockey with two pucks.
Impossible, you say?
Well, we scoff at your conventional way of playing.
I also rock at ski ball and Alien the game, but not at that Sniper shit.
When it was time to cash the tickets in, we realized that they had prizes there that no one really wants, it was like the swap meet or the 99 cent store but worse.
They give out batteries as prizes.
And long ago expired and different colored bottles of "After Sun Glow". Tiberius smelled one and I think he may die now. whatever
I finally settled on the "Fly City" fly trap. The 100% ecological way to capture flys. It comes with a packet of fly bait.
Pfft, like I need any help luring flys.

Wow, yeah, I had oodles of fun last night.
Good conversation.
Scary games.
Good coffee.
And a sea monster.
Only in Redondo.

And now for today.
Had breakfast with Betsie at John's coffee shop. They have a turtle pond with a waterfall inside the restaurant. How cool is that?
We went Xmas shopping at South Coast Plaza and I found nothing.
Betsie gave me my xmas present a little early, considering she stole it.
I found plenty of things in the toy store....for me.
But nothing I thought my nephew would want.
I'm glad they brought back the Muppets toys.

^Makes me smile^

Song of the day:
Alkaline Trio - "Cringe"
Oh those boys make my skin crawl, in a good way.
They ain't bad looking either.

rannie:
I think Blame it on the rain is quite a catchy tune. Oh, and I like bands where they wear suits. It just looks good.
