SGECCT 2008
the trip was fucking awesome.
i will only be touching on the awesome here since honestly i think if all 95 of us wrote about it in our journals we would still only be touching the tip of the awesome iceberg.
the SGATLiens left ATL on wednesday evening to caravan to SouthernBelle's place in Charlotte.
she put the motley bunch of us up for the night which was most gracious of her so that we could leave early thursday morning.
thursday morning we left bright and early with the three car caravan.
the most interesting thing we saw on the ride was a woman who appeared to be driving solely with her ginormous breasts.
we arrived thursday afternoon with a little bit of time before it was time to greet everybody.
word of advice, don't ask the girl who doesn't drive (except in GTA) if your car is parked ok, cause she will say 'sure it is' when your car is parked like this.

thank god we had no rain or the honeymoon suite would have become a drive thru.
i toured the honeymoon suite (aka Magnolia cabin) it was adorable.
apparently the groom ( 666Irish ) got my memo about the appropriate hair (or facial hair) color to have for the trip.

we hung out and greeted for a while and then went to check out the main community area which happened to be next to where the member formerly known as Aryan had his camp set up.
no tent, just a hammock (a swank one that zipped up with mosquito netting on top).
after he showed me his huge pack of burgers, his keg of home brewed beer (an american pale ale. seriously, one of the best home brews i have ever had, if i could buy it in the store i would) and then his box full of tools i made a comment to the effect of 'jesus christ aren't you the alpha male.' and a new nickname was born.
immediately afterwards a plan was hatched for sanguine (my bestest once a year friend) and i to pee on Alpha_Male's hammock.
why?
why not. (torturing alpha males happens to be a favorite pasttime for me. )
the rest of the trip was a lot of drinking, chilling and laughing my ass off.
the bad parts were the heat, tons of bugs and swunderbreasts and swarm pits and swipples and swass crack and swighs and swabia and swaint. (it was fucking hot!)
the high points were hanging with my once a year friends, i love you guys even though we don't even talk when we aren't camping, the wedding, chilling with so many cool people, new friends and old.

my girl sanguine i wish we lived closer so we didn't have to be once a year friends.
Alpha_Male whose beer and burgers that he shared generously were greatly appreciated. he will do anything you ask as long as you ask nicely. his first turn in the hat game is one of my favorite moments from the trip.

my fellow funnelhackers, it was awesomesauce to meet two more of you in person.
i made so many new friends but especially Taz the bestest athiest minister that i ever met and fatty6969 and TheRedBaron for all around awesomeness and the hat game which i love.
i didn't wear my eyeglasses all weekend, so all of the pics with me in them look so strange to me...
i can't wait to do it all again next year.
