So my girlfriend of two years and I just broke up. Nothing bad between us. Just different schedules and we're different people. I'm a geek and passionate about many things that she is just not interested in. We had some good chemistry at the start, but things changed. She was more concerned about hurting me because I'm a nice guy and never treated her badly. But I, too, have been thinking the same thing. We didn't really spend time together, watched different shows/movies, ect.

We love each other, but not 'in love' with each other. We care about each other and wish the other well. We just didn't want to have it build up to the point where just the slightest thing said the wrong way could set it all off. We both have that flaw, only mine has a higher threshold.

We'll be OK and survive. Like I said, no bad blood or bad thoughts. Just better off sooner rather than later.
