anyone know much about computers...

i'm thinking of putting together a new machine, but haven't the slightest of where to start....

I know what I need, but not exactly what to get...so, any help would be awesome...

computer savy = someone other than me. sorry.

So tell me about your pets. I've come across pet references here and there in my limited attempts to catch up on all your blogs I missed when I left SG - do you have a mini zoo or what?

Also, what parts of "What the #^@!& do we know?" did you like best / did you internalize the most?

take care man smile

Oh yeah - one more thing I meant to ask - what's the story with the name change?

Just so I'm not all questions and no answers, my profile name is my old camp counselor name (raindrop) as pronounced by six year olds. Sigh... those were the days. So many more crafts, so much less overtime.

Also, I aspire to have a mini zoo of sorts one day but am currently hindered by apartment living. And my pet gerbils died - so currently I only have the plants and the aquarium left.

And my favorite part of "What the #^@!& ..." was the idea that your moods release hormones that your body can become addicted to - really put a spin on the concept of having a "healthy mindset" for me.

Lots happened in the past couple of years... I graduated, went to Cancun for 2 weeks, got jobs at a Morroccan/Thai import store and a comic store for three weeks, got set up on a blind date by a retail co-worker with a guy who turned out to live on the same block as me (we're still together 1.3 years later), got a geoenvironmental gig with a consulting firm (which I'm still at 1.3 years later), moved around a bunch for the geo job for 6 months (including spending Oct, Nov, and Dec outside in the snow doing groundwater studies), and lately just working on settling into a bit of a routine and trying not to become too much of a yuppie hipster.

What about you?
