fuck. 4 more days. at least today was better than yesterday. yesterday was extremely stressful, after a live pipeline that we were working on blew up in my buddy cody's face while he was on bottom, working on it. as if that's not a close enough call, at the time the welders were doing ship repair and welding while millions of cubic feet of propane are being released right next to us!!!! lucky for us we had a strong wind and we started moving the boat right away. when we finally got cody up and gave him a quick look over before he got in the chamber we saw what happened to his dive helmet. a piece of the pipeline had actually hit his helmet and crushed it right next to the faceplate!!! a 1/4 inch to the side and he'd be dead. fuck, what a day. i'm just glad it's over with and soon i'll be home for a full 2 weeks with nothing to do but work on my truck!! actually i take that back, i promised my little sis i'd take her to a concert. damn, was she pissed when she found out i got to go to voodoo fest in new orleans!!! hahaha i kinda feel guilty i haven't spent more time with her. even though we're only 3 yrs. apart we never really hung out til recently, and i know she really looks up to me. fuck it i guess, can't change it now. i'll just have to be a good big bro and take her and a couple of her friends to a concert of their choice and spot them a fat sack of highs. eeeeeeee, i love her to death but hanging out with her and her friends makes me feel like "the old dude"
