OK, so last night was my first preproduction meeting with the band I'll be working with. It was what i call a rough night. There were some sound problems early. then a few ego problems, and 2 run throughs of the 7 song set (which took 3 frickin hours) and then it was finally done.
They have their first show tomorrow night at a dinky little club in Vacacille and I'll be there to help em out. It's funny ya know, these kids have some serious raw talent and some great songs but they are lacking the confidence they are gonna need. Luckily Mr. Green can help em build it. Be the best musicians/performers they are capable of.
It's lookin like we are gonna hit the studio during the 2nd week of may. Between now and then they have about 6 or 7 shows scheduled and we are gonna have to have a lot of preproduction sessions. I've decided anytime i get frusterated during this I'm just gonna smoke a bowl and check out the hotties on SG. it ALWAYS makes me feel better.
