So the new place is working out pretty damn well right now. Been grocery shopping and cooking

Turns out im' not so ba a cook after all. Still not nearly as good as mom's stuff though.

Gracery shopping is a trip though...Man, there are sooooo many products outt there vying for my attention and consumption it's almost overwhelming. But i think i've found what suits me best. How weird is this though...i bought a bunch of vegetarian stuff and ham, turkey and beef. I think i'm going to test the waters of vegetarianism...see what it does for me. I won't go all the way veggie, but eating less of that stuff will probably be good for me.

Also, housemate hooked up wireless internet which is the coolest thing ever! I can walk around anywhere in my house with my laptop and still be on the net. That is totally mad sweet!

so don't take offense.

Every now and again...but my life has been so turned upside down, inside out, shitty that I don't like my general pessimism to appear in people's journals.

Good luck with Veg...it is not too difficult, but if you are all about bar food or eating out in general, or can't be a creative cook, then forget it.

Glad to hear the new house is going well!! Eating more towards the whole vegetarian style is a good idea.. so much better for you. I was vegetarian for 6 years, but about a year and a half ago i started eating fish again, then a few months later i had some chicken, and it tasted so damn good that i am having difficulty going back! Which is terrible, i hate eating animals, especially chickens who have been bred solely for eating, and injected with steriods to make them fatter so there is more meat.. it is all so terrible... i just wish it didn't taste so good!! ..
Wireless internet would be soo excellent.. i don't think we have that over here.. how does it work??
Wow.. i think it sounds too cold where you are.. i am totally down with moving somewhere that is just right!!.. it is just way too hot.. and yes it is difficult to do anything.. unless it is to get to somewhere with airconditioning.. then i have no problems moving!! hehe...
ps.. i am still wearing the necklace.. i love it!!

Well, there are a lot of little factors I suppose, I have a very good memory for example but really it boils down to experience. I'm not that much older overall than most of the people here, but if you calculate that as a percentage of adulthood, it creates a really wide gap. I'm also a lot more curious than most people apparently and I have a lot more inclination to explore that curiosity. In all honesty that and the fact that I like to argue is why I do this. It makes me look stuff up.

So for example when Helter says that only 2% of guns used in crimes come from gun shows, I know damn well from having read other research that thats a doctored figure. I go and I see where it comes from which in this case is Cato who bootstrap their arguments pretty much the same way every time so its not hard to find their source and see what the research really says. After you've done that a couple of hundred times it only takes a couple of minutes and at the end you know more than when you started for the next time. I am also genuinely interested in a lot of public policy matters so what things like corrections law and policy or constitutional history come up I really have studied it formally in depth.

Plus a lot of what people spout isn't original thought, its canned spin, so its pretty easy to know whats coming. I've had that absurd Laffer curve argument a good dozen times already.

Congratulations on the new place.

You are a braver man then i for trying the vegetarian thing. I dipped into it once and the resulting gas nearly killed myself and all those unlucky enough to find themselves around me.

Everything is ok except for my horrible luck. My phone got disconnected last night..the really funny part is that it worked pretty much all day yesterday, except at 6pm and after when I was trying to call my ride. Plus, I have dial up so I couldn't even get online to try to tell my ride. Stuff like this always happens to me..I should be used to it by now or just know when its going to happen. I really wanted to go last night too I was already and hoping my ride would just show up but I understand why he didn't. Blah! Maybe next time...
