Choosing to meet at a bar with a group of SG peepz only works if the bar is actually still open...Arrrrrghhh....i spent like an hour walking around looking for this place (which btw is about as easy to find as WMD in Iraq) only to find out it's closed when i finally do find it. Then, i went to the next logical location to meet everybody and low and behold, they were actually there. Things like that don't happen to me much.
Other news....Bought three CDs last week: The new Alkaline Trio (which for only $7 was a good buy though the music's not the best i ever heard), The Dropkick Murphy's Live on St. Patrick's Day (TOTALLY, mad-wicked, sweetness, ass-kicking rock), and The Aquabats: Myths, Legends ( a totally fun album full of quirky, goofy, catchy lil tunes--my favorite of which actually parodies the music of Limp Bizkit, Korn, and Rage....i love it). So, it was a good week of CD buying. I've noticed recently that i'm woefully short on keeping up with the times or at least getting all kinds of different new CDs/bands. Hence, the three CD's, which while not exactly new (except for Alkaline) were all nonetheless good as my recent CD rotation is the same shit i've been listening to sinse highschool. Anybody got any suggestions for new rocking bands or totally off the wall, gotta-check-em-out bands out there?
