Yeah, film prices are insane... I was lucky and remembered I had a bunch of old, expired film in my fridge when I started getting back into it so I'm not feeling the burn yet! XD Although, at first I was constantly snapping photos, but now I've cut back and save those frames for more special shots because I'll get poor too fast if I'm careless.
I do think there is an art and lifestyle attached to analogue, though.. the idea of taking your camera everywhere with you isn't so much that you constantly take photos, but always have it on hand for those special moments. Saves you from smacking your head in disappointment for not bringing your camera along, too!
I think the hipstamatic app is vaguely amusing, even though I haven't tried it due to not having an iPhone. Even so, I don't have a problem with it so long as people don't try to pass it off as actual lomography... same goes for digital photos manipulated in Photoshop. But that's just what I think! What's your opinion on it?
Awww, you truly do appreciate analogue! That makes me happy.. we need more people like you in the world!
Grrr, I have iPhone envy.. Which is funny, because I used to hate them.. but now they've fixed the camera problem, and they seem to be getting faster at browsing the internet, etc. so I really want one. XD Or maybe an Xperia *_*
And as for what I've been snapping.. mostly just everyday life. Anything interesting that catches my attention, even if for a little moment.. if I have the initial reaction of "Hey, that's cool" or actually take a look at something, then I know it's something I'll regret not photographing later. I also like taking candid shots, and shots of the people I love.. I also get really happy when someone returns the favour and takes a candid shot of me!
I'm currently getting a roll developed.. if anything interesting comes out, I'll post it on here. XD
So, have you gotten into the hang of taking your camera around with you yet?
