Another One
My friend brought over a(nother) baby kitty this morning. She found her at the recycling depot. This kitten is the skinniest thing I've ever seen - a tiny little bag of bones. She's super friendly, and gentle, so I expect the person or persons who raised the litter were kind. The vet said this little one is about 10 - 12 weeks old, and they are currently housing another one that looks as if it came from the same litter. So we're kind of thinking that someone dumped the litter somewhere between the recycle depot and the vet's office - in an industrial area (!). Isn't that so sad? I mean, someone obviously loved these kittens, and they were dumped.
I'm just watching her for a bit. I think the plan is to have my friend "adopt" the kitten from the rescue that I volunteer with, that way the adoption fee (which is quite reasonable) will cover her spay and shots and ID. The vet was going to charge $210 for the spay - with prices like that, it's no wonder people don't think they can get their pets fixed. It's a shame really, because there are organizations out there, like SSNAP (Subsidised Spay & Neuter Assistance Program) who help lower income people with the costs.

P.S. What an adorable kitty!
Rumor has it 2007 they are updating the movie
I heard our teacher read it back along time ago and vaugely remmbering a movie that we watched with it. I wish I knew if it was a dream or a vivid memory of a book I loved.
I read a lot of kids books - I have a hard time giving up on the past.
