My friends cat had kittens yesterday. They are so tiny and frail it's amazing. The miracle of life is simultaneously the most beautiful and the most disturbing thing I have ever seen.
Nut (pronounced 'noot' like the Egyptian goddess) had 5 kittens yesterday around noon, but this morning there were 6. She must have birthed another overnight. 5 of the 6 are tabby, the other is solid black. I'm going to see if Nut will let me take some pictures tonight. Yesterday she obviously didn't trust me around her kittens. I've never had a cat glare at me like that. If anyone is interested in raising a cat, they will be up for adoption in a couple months.
