This summer (so far) my concert itinerary is as follows:
Sting
Billy Idol
Cyndi Lauper
Bon Jovi (don't laff)
Brian Wilson
Courtney Love
The Monkees

I couldn't afford the Rolling Stones or Paul McCartney tickets that weren't sold out instantly. $500 for a ticket seems to me a bit insane. I have a fetish for old Rolling Stone magazines, and in one from 1989 it points out the outrageous top ticket price for The Rolling Stones to be, like, $28,50. I know inflation is a B, but even still the tickets have gotten too expensive.

What I need to do is start going to more local shows with newer bands. It's cheaper and likely to be a more stimulating experience. That said, I will probably jump at the chance to go see, like, Weezer for the umpteenth time.
