So...

I know I said in my profile that I hate stagnation, yet here I sit. Bored. ...beyond any fathomable realm of boredom. In addition to photography, I manage a little bike shop here at home. Usually, this place is jumping. The last few weeks though? Drrrrrraaaaaaaaag... It sucks. Truly.

What is it that compels some people to do so little? I don't necessarily mean professionally, but just in general? While I'm not a rich bastard living la vida loca, I feel like I don't waste a good portion of my life. I rarely sit on the couch staring at a television in a vegetative state. I'm always doing something at least mildly interactive.

...but what about the rest of the world? Is that stagnation perhaps part of the reason the United States is stupid and obese? With the exception of our top-notch cadre of Olympians, we are horrible academically. It was unconscionable for me (during school) to have less than stellar grades and marks. I simply don't understand it. WHY!?
