So I've started as music director at my station.. which is kinda fun, but also a bit stressful. Today is my crazy week of workin' all day and party'in all night.. every day o' the week!
My Nazi propaganda course is going well.. did some readings from Hitler and Goebbels. Crazy people. But the course is interesting and good. I can whip out my analytical Nietzsche and ubermensch all over the class. (I don't know what that means, but don't you find it vaguely sexual?)
I also lucked out in 2 ways yesterday. I found the 2 cd set of Charlie Feathers stuff on Revenant records used for cheap! Yay! And then, even better, I got to meet SG Ophelia! We went for ice cream at Sweet Memories, the best stuff inna town.
I feel kinda bad because we kept running into people I knew and we didn't get to chat for very long. But we managed to get in some scintillating conversation on literature, EU citizenship, hermitude, and hitting people with cars. Not too bad..
I've been listening to a lot of Charlie Feathers, Amy Honey, Serge Gainsbourg, and the Cramps. Oh and my album of Gainsbourg covers off of Tzadik. Groovy!!

I never got Fahey's obsession with Charlie Feathers, but I've read that the packaging for that set is supposed to be really beautiful. There was a long-ish interview with Revenant's main designer in the last Sound Collector issue, I think.
