you are right. We are never happy.
But, You kinda seem to be pretty ok with your life since you also sound like you have a reason for all this work. Keep doing what you think is right. If you feel like you need a "vacation"sort of thing, do it. If you feel like you should work 80 hours a week, do it.
Just look for what you think is happiness - not others.

Do what makes you happy if you like working the hours do it or don't take some time for you I suggest running with scissors.... naked you may find it liberating.
