Hey!
Warning: this is fucking long. Skip to the end if you don't care.
My trip was good; lots of fun but not long enough. CaseLogic posted these few pictures of what was at one point appropriately referred to as "Cirque du Iran." Funniest thing I've heard in a while, let me tell you (besides this).
It's unfortunate that I spent the best car-singing opportunity of the season with no voice. Yet, it's fortunate that I was alone, 'cause I sure as hell sang the whole way anyway. Picked up the Habibster, went to eat with another good friend of mine and a girl I hope to forget. CaseLogic and I watched some great almost-porn on the Oxygen channel in our hotel room, and when my other buddy got back, we played some Scrabble! Yeah!
Due to an interesting sleeping situation, the three of us ended up in a king size bed, and around four in the morning, I finally passed out so I wouldn't have to deal with Cirque du Iran anymore. I then proceeded to talk to CaseLogic in my sleep all night (like you do). Sunday we woke up unrested, wandered around Austin a while (I saw my first SG sticker on someone's car in a mall parking lot!), and finally saw Hellboy, which I'd previously seen with my family on Friday.
Driving back was fun; my other buddy, Ricky, got an expected flat tire, which was fun, and thanks to my iPod and an FM transmitter, he got to listen to my music from his car, as well. Whew, what a story! I got home midnight on Sunday.
In other news:
- I'm going to LA for my birthday this summer to hang with Geraldine! I may get to meet my buddies dannyboy and gambitgirlie, too. I can't fucking wait.
- Also, I'm headed to Las Vegas again in September, where I'll finally get to see Zumanity! I love Cirque du Soleil. I may see Verekai when it comes to town next year, too. I can't fucking wait.
- I finally got the SG group I've wanted since I joined, Animal Lovers. Yay!
- And I'm still sick. My voice is mostly back, but my cough is a lot worse. Who wants to help make me feel better?
