Two things that are extremely played out at this point, in my opinion: steampunk and zombies. And I say this as the guy who started the steampunk group here back in '05. They're both still neat ideas but maybe they need to take a break for a decade or two.

I think steampunk ended up going off the rails and zombies never were much of an interest. I miss Jules Verne type stuff though.

with every trend, it will run it's course and then people will forget about it for a while, and then it will appear again, and then disappear then reappear......gotta remember, these kids now-a-days think the 80's were awesome.

Yeah, especially zombies. I fucking can't go buy a pack of smokes without hearing about some zombie-related movie, book, or dildo anymore.
