Let me just start by saying I have had a GREAT weekend. Friday after work we went to the beach for my Mom's last night at her timeshare. Sat we went down the beach a little ways and spent the day w/ my brother and his wife. A full blog with pics will follow later. And now for the blog I planned to post...

So, a lot has happened since I last posted. Not all good, not all bad. First let me get some of the bad stuff out of the way.

On July 25th Hubby's dad went into the hospital, it was his (Dad's) birthday. He was extremely yellow and bloated. He was there for exactly a week before they let him out. The Saturday he was there we went to visit him. I was unsure about taking the baby up there but in the end was very glad we did. The doctors said it helped him a lot. So he came home on Fri Aug 1st. Wed Aug 6th was their 26th wedding anniversary. Friday August 8th he passed away. The service was difficult, especially the 21 gun salute. Dani was adorable all dressed up. Everyone is doing okay, as much as can be expected. Hubby's Mom isn't in the usual widow position. Dad knew this was coming, he had started distancing himself from her, not in a bad way, but just... Anywhoo that's all I'm saying about it for now.

During all this Hubby's brother and sis-in-law (aka stupid sis-in-law) and Parker were there. His brother was feeling guilty for not spending any time w/ Dad and using that as an excuse to make things harder on Hubby and his mom. Meanwhile Parker was sick and even though I asked them to keep him and Dani separate and not let him chew on her toys, they didn't listen and within 2 days my little girl had a snotty nose and chest congestion that still hasn't gone away.

A bit of good...I took my class and test to get certified to do my job and passed w/ flying colors. I got 100% on the written and got very high marks on the practical.

That weekend we stayed in Orlando to be close to my class. This allowed Hubby and Dani to go to the gun and knife show to visit my step-dad. Then after class was over each day the 3 of us would go hang out. That Saturday Dani got her first tooth! She's such a good baby, she never fussed or anything. Her only symptom was that she was a bit warmer than usual Friday night and drooling more than usual. She drooled so much she ended up with a little heat rash on her chin.

That was the weekend after Tropical Storm Fay ran up our coast. She caused lots of local flooding. These were taken 4 days after she was gone.


And while everyone was focused on the mosquitos that would come from all the standing water what did they fail to think about? The FUCKING FROGS!!!! They were everywhere! Itty Bitty Kamikazee frogs all over the road! And what made it worse was that after driving through them it made your car stink like dead fish...ick!

Skip forward several weeks to Sept 12th. Hubby, Hubby's Mom, Dani, and I drove to Illinois for his Grandma's (Mom's mom) 80th suprise birthday party. She had no idea we were coming! It was great! She's soooo spunky! I'll do another entry later with lots of pics of the whole fam damily later. That was a long weekend with lots of pics and deserves it's own space.

Then on the 21st Dani was in her first (and probably last) pageant. She was fantastic. The room was hot but she was still happy. She won lot's of trophies etc. But that will also be it's own entry.

Beyond those two individual coming blogs I'll have to do a misc. picture blog soon. I have TONS of random adorable Danica pics to share! I see myself spending a lot more time on the pimp my baby thread in the pregnant group.

I think that's enough for now, I'm sure I forgot something but I'll just add it in to another post or something.
