Well, I suppose it's time for my semi-annual update (there's even a nifty new pic at the bottom)....
We had a great fucking show at the Fenix Saturday night. Got a few complaints about the length of the suspension, but fuck'm... it was a good time. I hadn't gotten to pull on the monkey yet- she's a blast. It still amazes me that someone with 4 hooks in their back can be THAT active while up in the air.
One of the things I really love about working with PURE Cirkus- these kids are dedicated. They're all volunteers, but they take it seriously and take great pride in what they do at all times.
Speaking of the show at the Fenix, Betty X rocked the venue hard. She's an incredible performer. Even though I was backstage prepping for the suspension, I was able to watch part of the show through the window of the sound booth. It was hot- they definitely put on an intense show.
If you're in the Seattle area, you *have* to come check out & support your local circus. Trust me, this isn't your typical kid-friendly circus. Squeemish about the suspension? We don't do them at every show. PM me and I'll be happy to let you know in advance about what you're in for.
